The discovery of penicillin (1964)

The story of how penicillin, one of the greatest antibiotics was discovered and used throughout history. 

It always amazes me that this wonderful discovery was found by accident.

‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah related from Abu Hurayra that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Allah has not sent down an illness without sending down a cure for it.” Bukhari 5354
